   Hello,I just wanted to say I am a BIG.BIG fan of yours!! Matt I love the how you teach
   your children that hard work pays off in life(and your deffinately)a hard worker!
   Amy I think You are just the best! You are an awsome mother to your children and they
   show it by their actions. I hope to one day beable to take my daughter to see your farm
   and myself! My greatest wish is to meet you all one day in person!!! You are a great family
   and you make my day better when I get to watch your show. God Bless you all and have a great
   day! I hope to hear back from you and hopefully soon I can upload a photo so you can see

   I’d like to say that as a former military member who has served in a forward unit, I’m appalled that you would use your connections with TLC to board a plane going to Iraq full of military members and put them into harms way. You must realize that the your presence on that aircraft changed the mission and put American lives in danger. That notwithstanding, once you got to Baghdad, you did nothing but use your connections for personal gain and take photo ops with disabled children. You even went so low as to place one of them on a rug representing the American flag. I’ve been a fan of your show for many years, but, I must tell you….this episode is the one that will cause me never to watch your show again. I know that you take money from TLC to finance your farm, to pay for vehicles, to pay for remodels to the house…and…I’m ok with that…it’s TV…after all…but to put American soldiers lives in jeopardy because you want ratings, is abhorrent and should not be tolerated. As a television personality, you should be familiar with the term..”Jumped the Shark”….as far as I am concerned, you just did it.

   While I understand the reasoning behind Ranger Bob’s comments about safety and security issues, his personal comments were WAY, WAY over the top and unnecessary. I’m sure CENTCOM took everything into account and weighed it before letting Matt come. If they thought it too much a risk or grand standing, they wouldn’t have granted him permission to come or provided him transport and an excort to go out to see the kids.
   My husband has done 3 tours in Iraq and was impressed to see Matt volunteer at personal risk to come see those children and try to get help for them. He was there when Matt went back recently for the children’s surgeries and got to meet Matt. My husband volunteered half way through his 15month tour to work in the section of his unit doing projects to help the local Iraqis in their schools, hospitals and small businesses. He wishes that programs like that made the news more often where people like Matt’s friend reach out to the Iraqis they meet while they are serving in Iraq, trying to give them a hand up to a better life. There are a lot of soldiers that go out into the neighborhoods and villages and take things like school supplies, toys, clothes to these people that folks in the US have donated. If Matt’s trip brought this giving side of our military members to public light so that Americans know that the mission is a lot more than just rifles and bombs, then HOOAH! Matt.
