Announcement from Matt

Now that my trial is over, I’d like to share a few quick words.

First of all, I can not thank you enough for all the support and encouragement over the past few months. You have no idea how appreciative I am to all of you who wrote emails, sent letters, defended me on message boards, and kept me in your thoughts and prayers. Your faithful backing has meant so much to my family and me. We are deeply grateful.

Jeremy, Zach, Molly, Jacob, and especially Amy have been so strong throughout this entire ordeal. I am so glad it’s finally finished so I can go back to spending more time with them. It feels as if a weight has been lifted off my shoulders, not only because the facts of my case have now been made public, but also because I can now speak to those issues on which I was forced to stay silent about for so long.

You know how hard it is for me to keep my mouth shut normally!–imagine how difficult it was to stay quiet amidst false accusations, ungrounded speculation, and malicious rumors. The even greater challenge was not being able to lay out the truth to my friends and fans who deserved to know what really happened. I’m sorry I had to keep you waiting all this time.  I will share more details as I can in the coming months.

Right now, my top priority is to spend time with my family, but I look forward to answering your questions, writing more frequent newsletters, and getting back into the office with Mike, Sven, Becky, and Kaitlin. There’s work to be done!

Thank you again. Your loyalty and moral support have given me unknown strength. May peace and prosperity find you all in this New Year.
