Can anyone tell me why every time I see the roloffs tv on, the screen is all blurred out so we can't see what they're watching? What is the big deal on what they watch on tv? I understand the license plates and some people's faces being blurred but not why the tv is? Just wondering. Thanks

Because they prob have to have the rights to show certain things, labels, brands, etc. on the show. And, if they don't get those right, they can't show it.

I am sure it is all about having to pay royalties.

not to mention by showing tv they are showing shows on other networks and giving them and products free ad time.

I suspect they are watching the same show over and over Leonard Nemoys special on UFO's "In search of" series

i would think it is the network blurring out anything that is not a program on their network:thumb:

They don't blurr if there is product placement.

The Wii was not blurred when they were bowling, it was clear product placement. That is why Amy was sure to say something like "Are you guys playing that Wii thing?"

Keep an eye out you will see which companies are paying to have their products shown and which are not.

(and before I get accused of 'hating' it is just a simple fact that product placement exists. I don't fault TLC for increasing their revenues).

With the way the world is right now, every home in America is one giant product placement, just without the cameras. I don't see a problem with it on a the show,it's not like we don't all buy brand name things and refer to them by those names.

Ya it's totally product placement. TLC probably gets payed to put that stuff on the show for advertising...And if TLC doesn't have rights to show a tv channel then they wont show it...or maybe they don't want to show something that isn't "TLC Material"
