I mean, in like several scenes, Jacob was just staring blankly. I suppose probably he was tired of all the filming and stuff. But.... I mean...is it just me or did anyone else notice that Jacob seemed to be either bored or....well, I'm just not sure? The only great scene with Jacob was when he and Molly sort of had their little sis-bro thing going on and flipping the light switch off and on. It's so cute the way they have that going. And so normal. :) Hey Rolloff's...I love you. (Right stuff Roloffs!)

Jacob has his one friend over alot so I am sure it's just the film crew being there. He is so adorable I could eat him up!

I love Molly asking him what Sven and Matt were talking about. Then she says "you were in the room all this time and didn't listen" lol such a girl

Whenever I see Jacob I think "Oh, what a cute boy! Don't ever grow
up Jacob!" He seemed to participate in many of the activities and I
nothing struck me as unusual in his behavior. I did miss a few minutes
of the first episode :-( . It is strange because I turn the station on
to TLC at 8 and sometimes I miss the introduction.

I know these episodes were filmed in the fall before Matt's trial so the
family was also going through a challenging time.
I noticed Amy ask Jacob if he was giving out any candy and he
said he was. Maybe he was keeping a little stash for himself. I
would have as a kid.

I notice both Jake and Jer stare blankly at times. I swear they both have ADD.

No, Jer's stare was a deer in headlights look when Sara came over to the house when Kirstin wanted to come over. Pretty classic look for guys who fear 2 girls fighting!

Attention Deficit Disorder

Not sure about the Jermemy or Jacob but sometimes I wonder if have
or had ADD:confused: or some form of dyslexia. I was not able
to completely tie my shoes until I almost 8 when most kids learn
by 5 or 6. I had a really hard time with left and right especially
with shoes! Sometimes I still have to stop and think which is left for a second.

When I was in elementary school I remember getting
these "Needs Improvement" in Following Direction, Pays Attention or
maybe I just started school too young.

I used to daydream a lot too in the upper grades. Even now if I had
a paper to write, my best work/ideas come when I am under
pressure of the final deadlines.

The show's been going on for a while. Maybe they're tired. Do they film all the time, or just a little here and there? During the year, I meen.:dunno:

They have weekends off and a few months between each set of shows, I think.

I think it is just his age i have a 10 year old and he acts just like jacob in fact he looks like jacob. They get tempermental and pout alot at this age.

I think the reason Jacob might look disconnected at times when he is in the background is because he is often using a PSP (handheld game console) or computer. In last week's episode he was playing a game on a laptop when Molly sat down with him. That is why he might have looked distant and had not heard Matt's conversation. He does not have ADD (he is an A student, in fact) he is just absorbed in his game. I play a lot of computer games myself, so I know how engrossing they can be.

The thing I don't understand about Jacob is that when he is asked a question, he doesn't answer. I always wonder why. He just stands there. He smiles but he has no reply. I find that odd.
He talks when he sits on the bale of hay so cute but often when asked a direct question during filming he doesn't answer.:dunno:

It's probably "Gosh, stop asking questions! Is that a rhetorical question? Gosh, there are cameras around. I don't know. I just said that!' type of thing.

Either that, or the camera cuts away first. Honestly, I haven't noticed that.

I've seen him prefer to whisper the answers to Matt and Amy rather than speak out in front of the cameras. Smart kid.:thumb:

I noticed that Jacob whispers to his mom or dad too. Didn't really think much of it except he didn't want his siblings to hear.

That look on Jeremy's face was PRICELESS. He's learning how to be a young man.....a young man with two girls who had/have an interest in him. :teehee:

No, Jacob definately doesn't look Autistic... I have an Autistic son, and have worked with many Autistic kids in my job, and Jacob definately doesn't fit the bill... he doesn't even seem ADD (I've worked with those kind of kids too)... just seems shy... I mean think back to when you were 10 yrs. old... probably none of us were tailored to suit a camera at that age.
