Does anyone think all the shows publicity will or does affect Molly in a negative or positive way.
Mollys a very smart kid. With being the only girl it must be tough on her to have all those brothers prodding around her all the time. I know she and Amy spend time together which is great but I can't help but wonder if she craves female friends company. Sometimes she just seems out of place and a little lonely to me. Just my thoughts.

Well, as we know since it was asked recently, Molly has no problem with being the only girl. She has her special place within the family. And, she certainly has lots of friends and is involved in many activities. Which is probably why we don't see her as often as the boys.

I'm not worried about Molly. I doubt she is any more or less affected by the show/publicity than the boys.

I recently sawanepisode where Amy was talking about that to some of her visiting LP friends for Jakes birthday I think. She was saying if the kids were born closer together whe would have liked to try for another girl. She doesn't seem to hang out with any of the females that show up at the farm either. Except maybe for Honey. butI never see her with Kirsten or Sarah or even the LP guests they have frequently.
I think that her shyness with the camera, keeps her grounded and out of trouble, though. The boys seem to do certain things because of the cameras.

Molly had a birthday party with a bunch of friends, is on the flag team and I *think* plays volleyball. I'm sure she female friends from those activities and from school. She and Jacob have both had friends over in the background several times too. I just don't think they're on-camera as much.

Mollly's not the only girl who doesn't have sisters, and most of them turn out fine. I never wanted sisters myself, unless I could have a twin but I think I would've still opted for a twin brother.

I saw Molly in Paducah last summer. I got the impression that she was Daddy's Girl. She sat beside Matt at the meet and greet table and seemed relaxed. When she appeared on stage she seemed cautious and careful about what she said. She has received valuable training about what to do and what to say and how to say it when talking to the general public. She is definitely affected by being in the public eye continuously but the effect is positive.....in my humble opinion.

Molly seems pretty well adjusted to me. She holds her own with the boys and Matt. I remember the episode where they were playing a board game...she ruled the roost on that one. LOL

I saw Molly in Paducah and again during pumpkin season at the farm. To me, it seems like the show does not affect who she is. Both times I've seen her I've thought she was very grounded, a little shy but very sweet, and I'd assume she's very warm if you get to know her. Matt has said that she is not completely comfortable with the cameras around, but I can't blame her for that. She's a 14-year-old girl, after all. And I agree with the poster about how she acted in Paducah. On the stage, she did seem a little nervous and said very little. Zach was definitely more talkative on the stage. But after the speech, I went through the line to get some stuff signed, and I asked Molly about some places she'd like to travel, and got quite a lengthy response from her. Plus, a bunch of posters who got together to go to the farm said she came out and visited with them on her break. So it would seem to me she's more comfortable in one on one or small group interaction.

I think Molly is very well grounded and thinks before she says something. I like that she is somewhat a mystery on the show. She really protects herself on the show. That is one smart young lady!

I really can't blame her for not being really comfortable with the cameras around. Not sure I would want someone recording my life. Always under the microscope so to speak. What if I had dust bunnies under my fridge? LOL
