All I know is I wish I was a fly on the wall that day at the farm. I guess that means they will not be on many shows? :( Let's hope that their travels will be on the show somehow. Maybe TLC went with them over there? Or a few people went anyway with a camera? 8-)
Ron and Peggy are so funny have you read some of their travel blogs? They are a crack up! No wonder matt has such a great personality having parents like those two.

Bob are you sure you are not Matt in hiding? heh heh ;)

I hope they will be included a lot more in the next season. They are wonderful people. They are, all at the same time, kind and honest, compassionate and candid; rare gifts indeed.

I personally wouldn't want to reveal anything personal about close friends on a blog, not appropriate. I doubt they would want the world to know anything personal that a friend might reveal. Careful Bob on the info you put out there!

I think they did put that up on their blog somewhere. They were talking about how nice their neighbors were and mentioned that too, but I could've sworn they also said that said their friends (not sure if it was the same friends) would be watching Lily while they were gone.

And, no I don't know them personally. I'm on the other side of the country. I'm just a curious fan of the show with too much time on my hands.

Anne
04-24-2008, 05:23 AM
He said he sent them something and the neighbor got it after they left is what he said. Yes, I did write I saw about Lilly on their website, he said that Matt watched Lilly.

Anne
04-24-2008, 05:25 AM
Also said he had their #. I was concerned that people, especially high profile people, might not want anything personal reveal to strangers.

Has Anyone Been About To Oregon? It Is Beautiful

Anne
04-24-2008, 01:57 PM
Me too! An absolutely amazing family and show! All of my daycare children watch it, my elderly aunt's friends, my teenagers and their friends. I wonder if they really know how many people they have touched by this show.

Anne
04-24-2008, 01:59 PM
I've never been to Oregon but my friend is retired and travels in a motor home and spends a lot of time there, said it's beautiful. She said they might eventually settle there. I have relatives in Seattle and when my cousin moved there years ago he said he would never move back here, absolutely loved the area.

Oregon is absolutely beautiful, you just have to like rain....

Anne
04-24-2008, 02:42 PM
I don't mind the rain, just don't like the heat and humidity of the summer here (St. Louis area). July and August are the absolutely worst.

mattlover87
04-24-2008, 03:30 PM
Anne, whereabouts in IL are you from?

Anne
04-24-2008, 04:07 PM
I'm from Collinsville (southwestern Illinois).

Maui for me
04-24-2008, 05:38 PM
We moved here from Laughlin, NV... it is the worst... have to be in air conditioning from April - October... June, July and August are stifling, no humidity, but can reach 130 degrees...

I'm from Collinsville (southwestern Illinois).

We used to do a lot of shopping in Fairview Heights and St Louis! I love to go to St Louis but my hubby hates all the road construction that is ALWAYS going on so we don't go there much anymore. We live in Western Ky right across the river from IL.

Anne
04-25-2008, 04:41 AM
I go to the Galleria a lot in St. Louis except now so many highways are closed because of construction. It's too much of a hassle to go over there. My husband works in an area right before the construction starts so he lucked out there.

Where in Western Kentucky? We went to Paducah in November to get permanent eyeliner. My doctor friend has this makeup artist that drives here every few months to do it in her office but my daughter wanted it done for her birthday so we drove there. It was less than a 3 hour drive for us.

Anne, we live in Paducah. The site of a famous episode on LPBW last fall. We used to go to Gallareia Mall a lot. I thought it was the best mall that we ever found in St.Louis. I went in Frontenac Mall once it was a fancy mall-didn't buy a thing. We also have been numerous times to St Charles-that is a fun place to go for shopping, Willie actually took me there last summer but we ran into a traffic jam and I thought he was going to freak out on me. It was during morning rush actually the end of rush. I used to drive myself and my mom to Galleria but that was before the construction on I-64 started.

Anne
04-25-2008, 09:28 AM
Have you been to the mall in South St. Louis, I think it's called Westfield but I'm not sure? It's not too far over the JB bridge and 270/255. A huge mall, even better than the Galleria. I just don't like to drive that far south, it's easier for me to go straight through on 40 near downtown St. Louis to the Galleria. I went to Frontenac once use to a gift certificate for a spa there and walked around. THere was nothing there at all I was interested in except for the kitchen store. Everything in that mall is way too expensive. When I saw a pair of shoes I liked and saw they were $400 I left very quickly! People in line for the movie theater there were so dressed up, dripping in diamonds, and drinking wine! Definitely a different world! :???:

My son goes to school at ISU so you're a short distance from him. Many of his friend attend U of I. He went to visit on the "unofficial" St. Patrick's Day weekend and got his car towed. Apparently there isn't too much parking around there and he parked in the lot next to the apartment he was staying at. He called me and said the car was gone, what should he do! I asked him if he was stolen or towed. He didn't know. I called the police and found the tow yard. I think by that time they had towed 300 cars! Lesson well learned. I called to bail out the car and told him in exchange he could paint his room and bathroom next visit home and he was so thankful! Of course once he was here for spring break he slept most of the time and finally I got him to paint the last day. My hubby is going to ISU this weekend for Dad's weekend. Not sure if it's dad's weekend for the whole school or just the frat. Lucky him, he gets to stay at that dirty gross frat house! HA!

oh man, I didn't go to the unofficial party like my friends wanted me to. I don't get into that type of stuff. I have a few friends at ISU and a couple at U of I. U of I is a nice school.
ISU is as well. I am going to be helping my friend here in a couple of weeks move down to ISU. He's going to throw a party once he gets down there he says! :teehee:
Yeah you have to be careful in Champaign/Urbana. That is an extremely busy city especially when the college kids are in school!

Is your friend moving on campus? My son is moving off campus but directly across the street from campus by the library. Actually he lives across from the library now, just will be on the other side. Luckily everything is within walking distance as it's a small campus, unlike U of I.

Sorry, thought I answered this but I didn't. My son is moving in an apartment off campus right by the library, across the street so he's off campus but kind of on campus. Looks nice from the outside with a garage under the building on the first level.
