What religion are the Roloffs? I'm asking because I find it wonderful that when on the show the family sits down for dinner they always say Grace before the Meal. I noticed Pop and Honey seem prayerful too. It's a nice change watching something decent like that on tv instead of all this smut we have to hear.

I do wonder why they are never shown going to church though. Is the camera crew off on Sundays?

yes, they are.

"Faith Bible" is their school. they don't seem to be the strange, robotic type of christians like the Duggars, thank goodness:wtf:

The camera crew is off on Mondays and Tuesdays, according to an interview by Amy. Perhaps the Roloffs don't wish to have their church invaded by the camera crews or possibly TLC wishes to not make their religious life a primary focus of their show. Matt has mentioned he appreciates that TLC does allow their faith to be included in some of the segments.

well the kids are all enrolled in a christian school, so i'd say they are christians, not sure what denomination though. but they do seem to be grounded in the christian faith.

I sometimes find myself thinking when they are saying Grace before a meal --that is a real prayer! I frequently say it out loud to whom ever is in the room.

They are a part of that religion, what is it called, that worships pumpkins. Druids?? The Great Pumpkin is their leader.

I always assumed the Roloffs went to one of those large charismatic nondenomenational churches.

Showing them going to church would make that a PRIMARY focus?? That's quite a leap.

I, too, think it's refreshing that they are allowed by TLC to pray, and in little ways, show their faith on TV! That's a real witness. And the fact that most TV is so......full of unwholesomeness. But not the Roloffs. Or the Duggars, or Jon & Kate plus 8. Three cheers for TLC on that!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

What I wrote of course is all supposition. Matt answers it himself in the Ask Matt Part 6 section.

"4. On the show your children attend a Bible High School. Is this just used as an alternative to Public Schools or are you a faith based family, and if so why does that not come out more in the show?

Matt's Response:

We are a faith based family and I think it does come out on the show from time to time. Obviously audiences are built with the most inclusion as possible and so we try to balance between sharing our faith and not hitting people over the head with it. And of course our place of worship is very private to us and so we try to keep that away from the show so that we can continue to have a public place where we can go and worship privately."
