Were You at Harrah's on 7-6-2008?

With the greet and meet and the special seating last year we were able to find out who a lot of the people from this message board were. This year it was open seating and I did not hear anything about other members of this board attending the event. If you were there, speak up and let us know where you were sitting. My best guess is that there were somewhere between 800 and 900 seats in the room and that about 80 or 90 percent of them were filled.

Jeanne and I were in the section furtherest away from the entrance and on the isle about a third of the way back from the front. We were almost at the end of the autograph line. Our youngest son (28) was with us.

Our son took pics with his phone and he is to email them to me but hasn't done it yet. I haven't even seen them so don't know who he took pics of. We were too far away to take pics when they were speaking so the pics are from when they were autographing stuff.

Interesting Amy story. Amy was talking about how she has to figure out how to do things because she is a little person. She said she used to get clothes out of the washer using a spaghetti dipper or tongs. I assume she meant a top loading washer.

Jeremy is much taller than I thought. He has to be way over 6 ft. When Amy introduced him. She told about him sometimes picking her up and swinging her around. I told Willie then that I had seen him do that on the show!

One of the sponsers of the event was Pepsi. Bear said that Zach was a major fan of Mountain Dew. Did you guys notice you can see 2 Mountain Dew cans in Zach's pic? :mrgreen: Maybe Jer drank them? The quick trip he made to the b-room.

MS, I didn't even know Baerphish was there. It was not at all like the Matt visit. We were at the tail end of the autograph line and the people around us-the ones I talked to didn't know about this board. I told them:thumb:

I keep remembering stuff Amy said and I have to post it! I hope you guys are not upset with me. Amy talked about how she can't get used to the fact that Molly can go shopping for clothes and find stuff that fits perfectly right off the rack. Amy said maybe she can buy some tops but most of her clothing has to be altered.

When Amy says on the show that she loves being a Mom that is so evident when she talks about her kids. She said she didn't have a hero growing up but now her heros are her kids. She was talking about heros because of the towns name is Metropolis and its claim to be home of Superman

Hello All! :-D

I was there and was sitting in the middle section six rows back with my wife. I was in an electric wheel and Amy was certainly great at telling the people how she dealt with being a dwarf all her life. I had the pleasure of shaking her hand when she out of the blue asked me how long I had been in wheelchair. I told her ever since I was 14 years old. She seemed impressed at how my spirits were and that is when I knew just how caring and down to earth she was. I guess it was because we both were different in our own ways.

The bottom line is that she was really interested what happened to me which gave me the feeling that I had just made a good friend. Yeah she is on TV, but Amy is still a person just like all of us and you could tell that she had the gift of bringing people's spirits up just by how she spoke.

Anyways, I will soon post some pictures here shortly ok?
