Inside the gift barn with peggy's porcelain on display. Along the backside you bring your pumpkins in and have them weighed. They give you a card. Then you work your way through picking out souvenirs, snacks, and hot beverages. Then at the other end you pay for the pumpkins and everything else.

I agree those are great pictures and I felt like I was there. I guess if you go bring lots of money. I am never content to just look-I have to buy just something.
Is it normal in other parts of the country for pumpkins to be sold by the pound? Around here you just see a price for a certain size pumpkin.

I thought the same thing. I've never seen pumpkins priced per pound before, but it's a good idea.

I have seen them both by the pound and full price listed. More so here they have one price for the pumpkin. Mostly at farms or stands that sell these for the season have them priced by the pound.
Some people have smaller farms and small stands so they can afford to have people sort each size. Seeing how big Matt's business has grown there is no way to sort by size that many pumpkins. That is my guess:-P

I've never seen pumpkins priced any other way than by the pound. Around here there are big and small farms all over that sell theirs by the pound. Even at the farmers market, and stacked in front of grocery stores they're always by the pound. Gourds usually have a set price.

Beautiful weather! Couldn't have asked for a better day, crisp but sunny, by noon it was probably in the 60's. I didn't get a chance to talk to Matt, he would cruise around on his ATV (Polaris Ranger Crew) and wave to the crowds. Everytime he stopped he would be mobbed by people wanting a photo op. Someone joked that people were throwing their kids in his direction so that he'd stop and smile for a pic with them. I mean, he couldn't help but say sure when someone handed their little one his way.
I saw Jeremy and Jake but they were busy and weren't approachable. Zach, Amy and Molly were missing. Amy may have still been out of town (CMU).
I'll get my pics up by tomorrow. I didn't get a farm tour video, but I did make a video of Sven's pumpkin house.

What a kind thing to offer SJ!! I'm trying to work out a deal to get one signed by the family, I'm waiting for a response. Becky? I would pay extra and make a nice donation to CODA, I hope it's possible! Maybe even Sven could sign it!
