I'm Laura. I'm a waitress at the JuryBox Cafe, in Pasco, WA. I'm of short stature, I'm 4'11 1/2" I have encountered what most LP go through. I'm basically through raising my family of 3 daughters. They are now 30, 27, and a soon to be 24 year old. The 2 oldest are taller than me. My 30 year old is 5' 4", 27 year old is 5' 2". My youngest is 4' 10". Even though they are out on their own, they keep migrating back for advice and for me to watch my grandkids. I've enjoyed watching Little People, Big World since the beginning. I'm able to identify with some of their encounters in life. I don't feel like I and my daughter the only one's who's a LP now. Makes my life feel pretty good now. :D

I live in brooklyn, new york and I'm in highschool. My role model is my older sister who is a freak-nerd (tattooed, pierced, died hair girl who has been on the deans list all throughout all her college years lol!!). She even took me to dye my hair over the summer (you can see my picture below). My sister actually started me on watchin the show. She watched it from the begining, but when there was a marathon during the first season, me her and my mom sat on our couch watching the whole thing. We only got up to eat junk food! It was so much fun. Now we still watch every episode together, only over the phone since she lives in Staten Island.

Hi all! My name is Amy, I'm 32, live in De Forest, WI and work as a pharmaceutical scientist testing drugs!!!! :o I have 2 daughters (ages 4 and 1), husband of almost 8 years (in May) and a westie named Ziggy. In my spare time I love to spend it all with my family camping, playing outside, reading, you name it....but when everyone is sleeping (except my husband who stays up later than I do) I crossstitch, read, read forums and quilt. Loved the family Roloff since the beginning, and if they weren't on t.v. anymore it'd seem like I lost my extended family!!! Look forward to seeing what they have in store for us this season!

My name is Sharon. I love the idea of getting to know the posters on this sight. I am feeling like you are becoming extended family-complete with the ribbing that goes on. I have five children, two grandsons, a husband of 25 years and lots of friends. My children are 24, 22, 21, 17, and 12. My youngest was born with hidden disablities--heart defects. That makes explaining to people why she is different. My two grandsons are 5 and 3. I have a son in the Navy, one who cooks for a retirement center, a sophomore in high school-at 6'4" he is the current basketball player. I enjoy scrapbooking and cooking. I am a teacher in a small parochial school, Kindergarten and first grade--six students this year. I also like writing about my family. Hello to all the Roloff fans!! I am also hoping to get to Hillsboro this October, provided I can fight through the traffic snarls. Looked like Tulip Festival in Mount Vernon.

We live in sunny Central Oregon in a small house w/ a med. size yard in a very small town. My family and I have been watching TLC's Little People Big World now for quite a while now and enjoy seeing the kids grow and the family love shared. What an inspiration you all are to us. Very brave of you to allow TV cameras tape your almost every move. I love the fact that my kids can watch your show learn about little people, and see God's plan unfold in your lifes. Through think and thin you hold onto your faith and I am so glad that it is being shown on TV.

Thank you for sharing your life with the world

Hi everyone,

My name is Maggy and I live in Northern Illinois. I am originally from Northeastern Pennsylvania. I am 35 and married with a wonderful husband and an 11 year old son. I've been a social worker for more years than I care to remember! I've loved this show ever since the very first episode. As a rule, I'm not a fan of most reality shows, but I sure do enjoy seeing a family on TV that isn't dysfunctional, aren't a bunch of drunks or drug addicts, or constantly on the edge of divorcing, or just scream and shout at each other all the time  . I'm so glad to have found this site to enjoy.

I love the Roloff's show and they've really helped me alot and have been an inspiration to me.

Hi Renee and all,
I'm Renee too. Little Ren, you summed that up very well, the Roloff's are an *inspiration* to all. My brother is disabled with MS and we've gotten him hooked on LPBW because the entire family are icons for the words 'succeeding' and 'overcoming' 'regardless'. Montel did not inspire my brother to get out of the house independantly... the 'real' trials and issues of the Roloffs did. His 3 kids watch the show and they are now being more understanding toward different people in difficult situations.
Yes, this family inspires many.

Anyway, back to my introduction. I'm a wife of a security supervisor and charter fisherman, Mom of 3 (20, 16 & 14), daughter, friend & Christian. I'm in rural Michigan, finishing my degree in Sociology with a minor in Psychology - specializing in Post Traumatic Stress Syndrome so that I may have the *honor* of helping our Veterans and those in the Armed Forces. I spend most of my time with my family, studying, being taxi-mom, going to church and volunteering at our local VA Hospital.

Too many pets to name off, but being born a southerner, I do get called ElleMae a Lot ! Lol. So, add feeding the critters to my 'to do' list.

I don't have the time to sit and watch tv that much, just for unwinding purposes, but when I do sit down I make *sure* that it's a positive program... and I've absolutely fallen in love with the Roloff family and I appreciate the positive influence they are in inspiring people to dream, see it through, go and do.

I'm also thankful for this forum (friendly people) and working in the field that I do, I will be extremely gun-shy to any negative poster... considering the source with nothing but sympathy. Life's too short not to love & laugh. My 'morning coffee' is drank while sitting in front of the laptop, then.... let the day begin... my engine's are started.

So... Good Morning to you all and 'thank you' Matt, Amy, Jacob, Zach, Molly, Jeremy & Mike. You've made the world a *much* nicer place.
And 'thank you' positive posters for being supportive of such an important spice of life.

Greetings from the UK, looks like I'm the only "Limey" here at the moment 8) .
My name is Steve Johnson but everyone even my Wife calls me "Johnno". I am in my 40s, married with 2 Daughters (how blessed I am, a Houseful of PMS :D ) and am a professional Health & Safety Manager for a large Distribution Company up here in the NW of England (not far from Manchester, Liverpool & Chester).
I stumbled upon Matt, Amy & the Kids because UK TV is grim so I am what we call a Discovery Channel Anorak (I think you call us cable Geeks  ), which is where I happened to catch the show one evening.
We love the show & hope it runs for many seasons.

It's nice to see that Football or Soccer as you call it has finally started to catch on in the Colonies 8) cor blimey Guvner you'll be playing Cricket next...

<edit> I forgot to mention my hobbies...well besides watcing Cable I used to do a bit of Motorcycling before my bad Knee & Shoulder started acting up & I used to love Pistol shooting before our Nanny State decided that it was too dangerous for ordinary Folks to own Firearms :x . I'm not a big Sports Fan except for Rugby League (similar to your American Football but without the Helmets & the Razzamatazz) and tend to spend a lot of time tinkering with PCs.

Keep safe Guys..

I was in hospital administration for many years and have seen many patients who struggle to deal with adversity.
The Roloffs are only the second show/family that I have ever watched devotedly, the other show is the Crocodile Hunter Diaries show. You may not see this but the Roloff family and the Steve Irwin family have much in common. They always put family first.

I am 4'11", 31 years old. I am not a dwarf, just short. At first when I was younger it was hard, but I learned to adapted. I feel blessed to be who I am. I love being short. My husband is 6'0". As I grew older, I learned to love my height. Now a days, some people call me lit bit or mini me. It doesn't bother me. They are not trying to hurt me. They are my friends. I enjoy it, it makes me "me". I guess if someone meant it to be mean, I would probably be hurt at first, but that is thier problem (not mine). I think everyone is special and unique. That is what makes life great and fun. :) ;)

Really enjoy every episode I have ever seen with the Roloff family. Get a special kick out of Amys dealings with Matt- so typically male vs female- I flip thru about 200 stations via the satellite every evening and when the Roloffs appear- it is time to stop clicking., kick back and remember some similar situations with my own 4 kids who are now grown and gone. Enjoy all the farm projects. thank you for amusing me...- countryacreage@yahoo.com

I just checked, since Matt started this sight, if it was really Matt and not one of his side kicks, there have been almost 400 people register. To me that is an amazing number. Just shows that things related to wholesome family living is important.

I feel like I have missed out on lots of stuff because I never was on the TLC sight. You guys trying to figure out who is who like old friends. Man--Just want you all to know I really enjoy your banter back and forth.

I would like your opinions on keeping one segment for the Roloffs to just answer questions so they don't have to read through all the comments we make.---Just a question.

Hi, my name is Patti - originally from NY, but moved to TN. nine years ago. Love this state - so clean and beautiful! I love the Roloff's show and never miss it - it's so refreshing to see something on TV that is positive instead of all that is going on today. Hope to get to know some of you and to talk in the future.

This is not a bad idea.. I'm still not sure we would be able to answer all the questions but it might make it easier to answer a few.

Wow Matt thats a fantastic idea....I think it would be kewl to hear from you guys on some of the questions.
I mean if you look at the posts it looks like your mom has been doing an excellent job of keeping up with a lot of the questions, so I bet she would be glad to help out.
I think the question alot have on their mind right now is if there is going to be any other book signings. If so most of us would like to know a bit about that schedule.

Glad to see ONE of my ideas is considered a good idea. Someone tell my husband I had a good idea--about keeping one post just for questions the Roloffs could answer. Of course we would have to restrain ourselves from commenting.

Ok, so now I have another idea about the questions post. Could we call it Q&A the Roloffs? Here are some possible rule suggestions:
1. Ask questions that they could answer.
2. Reply to those answers on a post labeled "We respond to the Q&A answers from the Roloffs. We could copy and paste any quotes or answers we are wanting to respond to. That leaves so much less for them to "have" to read.
Just a thought on how to make it easy for a very busy family who is so wonderful to let us have insight into their lives.

^^Thank you. I like them, too. It took me a long time to find the perfect setup. I had to go with a pretty light setup because I do a lot of moves on my hands with my feet in the air..like l-kicks, pikes...stuff like that. Heavy skates are harder to kick up in the air.....kind of like having concrete blocks on your feet. lol.

Sorry to hear you broke a bone rollerskating. :( I hope it didn't keep you from skating again.

Kind of. I was ten and broke my arm on borrowed skates in October. For Christmas, my mom gave me roller skates. I was not expecting it since I had just gotten the cast off. My mom explained that she had bought them before I broke my arm.

I used them a few times and then gave them up. I got a skateboard for my birthday! I think my mom was out to get me.

That was funny! LOL!! At least your parents let you use a skateboard. My parents sheltered me so much, after one time of falling off a skateboard with no pads, they FORBID me to even look at one....let alone entertain the thought of getting one. To this day I still kind of would love to ride one again!

I saw a kid with those once skating down the aisles of a department store and I had to almost stare at him because I didn't know stuff like that existed (yeah, I kind of live in a closet!!!).....it was almost "futuristic" to me. And then I saw them all over. The one that really gets me is the automatic scooter......takes the scoot out of scooter. It's just an er because you don't have to do any "work". I joined out of curiosity more than anything else, I'm an admin of two different forums myself, and a website for a student run press called the Flip Side Press. Currently I'm a student at the University of Wisconsin Eau Claire and I'm studying creative writing. I enjoy writing obviously, I'm writing my first novel currently, but I also enjoy an extensive number of other things, like wood working, inventing, hiking, nature, and any number of other things that I can't think of off the top of my head.

Nice to meet you all.

I wanted to say hello to everyone, I do know many names here from the DC forums, but I have never posted there due to certain childish behaviour I observed over there. I have been looking around and everyone seems very respectful here and it looks like a great place to hang out, learn and read.
I enjoy the show very much, I see that there are many here that do as well, that sort of makes us all a family!

A little about me, I own many websites and forums. I am 31 years old and live on top of a mountain in the middle of New York with my own 639 acre farm. We have many adventures here with 3 children. Life isn't easy, but it sure is fun!

Matt, I think you do a wonderful job with everything you do, I really admire your determination and your unwillingness to cave in to those that try to put you down, you are a good man!

I can remember lifting him in an out of the bathtub, and the car.He was quite heavy!I used to fix things for him,as he wasn't able to do things for himself so well.I also remember his spirit, for that is one trait that people with disabilities must have.I am definately richer for the experience, and can highly recommend adopting such a person to care for.It will change you for the better!!!

I'm Ted Seeber, from Beaverton, OR. I work for ODOT programming computers. My wife and I have one child, Christopher, age 3 (soon to be 4 in May). So that she can stay at home with Christopher, who has Cerebral Palsy and needs a bit of extra attention, she also runs "A Beary Loving Daycare" out of our house. We had been watching the show for some time, and last season we decided to do a field trip to get pumpkins and see the Roloff's farm. Got pictures with the kids on Matt's green mule- he had them get right up there with him and I kept the kids from jumping off while Shannon took the picture. Returned later for our real pumpkins- and got to talk for a while with Ron & Jeremy & Amy. And even rode on the tractor Zach was driving (tried to talk to him, but it was late in the day and he was eager to make one more run out to the ghost town to clear people out).

We're definately fans of the farm, and little Samantha last night even recognized Matt on TV (she's 2, was 1.5 years old when she sat next to Matt on his mule)

Hi Everyone!
I am so excited at the opportunity to join what seems to be a wonderful internet community and gathering place to share various thoughts, ideas and opinions about our favorite television family, the Roloff's.
As it has been said many times over, they have been a true inspiration and example to people throughout our vast nation and others worldwide. I believe that the opening statement of the show expresses with great depth the reality of life "one thing I wish people would understand about little people is we can pretty much do what everyone else does, but just in a different way". I believe this phrase serves as an inspiration messages to those facing any challenges, whether physical or emotional.

Ok....enough of my rambling.

My name is Levi. I live in Mesa, AZ and I am attending ASU where I am working towards a triple major of Chemistry, Chemical Engineering and Molecular Biology. I am hoping to attend medical school if I do not find something else first.
My wife and I just had our second child about 5 weeks ago and my 2 year old loves his brother a little too much. I am grateful to be a part of this community. It has been wonderful reading through everyones profile. Talk to everyone soon.

My name is Metryx but everyone calls me Meechy. I am 39 married for 8 month for the first time. Me and my wife have no kids but are working on building a family. I work in Technical Support for a cable company in the High speed Internet department.

My hobbies are animation, I write and develop animated characters and working on becoming an animator. Attended the Art Institute of Portland for two semesters, but took time off when I got married. I like creating real life super heroes and other characters. I am currently wanting to developing two new heroes, one is actually a young teen age mom and the other is a little person. At the moment I am doing research, but mainly I want my characters to deal with some social problems while being heros. And among others things I love going to church and hanging out with my friends playing video games or watching movies.

I just stumbled upon this site and I am glad I did. My name is Teresa, and I live in Illinois. I have 3 kids, a son(6) and 2 daughters(3) and have been married for 11 years. I started watching the Roloffs because they had twins and they lived in the pacific northwest. I grew up in Southwest Washington. I was weirdly excited when I saw them go shopping in a Fred Meyer. I was homesick that day. After that first episode I was hooked. I have learned a lot about being a better parent. I have been keeping a close eye on how they handle those twins, even though I am years away from where they are. My twins are only 3 years old. I also was so surprised that they are not afraid to say they are Bible believing people, even thoguh it is toned down a bit. Getting honest t.v. programs, that are clean and "family-friendly" are hard to come by. I hope to get to know you all better.

It seems that I am one of the few males posting on this board but I have seen some of the episodes and the whole picture seems to interest me. I live in a small house on a subdivision lot somewhere near where the Tennessee River enters the Ohio River. My user name did not happen by accident. It was the family's user name when we got our first family computer about ten years ago. We have three sons and there are five letters in my user name. Each letter is the first letter of each of our names....Willie, Jeanne, Tim, Jeff, and Dan. All of our sons are adults and still living with us in our small house. That makes life interesting. A hundred years or so ago people rode horses and our house would have had a large stable out back. Today people drive cars and our front yard looks like a used car lot.

I work a twelve hour shift that keeps me away from home about fourteen hours a day on the days that I am scheduled to work. Half of the time I work nights and half of the time I work days but I only have to work half of the days during the twenty eight day cycle.

Our TV source is a satellite dish on the on the back of the house so LPBW is a big event at our house. I am tied up quite a bit of the time but my wife watches all of the episodes and frequently the same episode more than once. That is how I became interested in the Roloff family and the show. My wife usually tells me about what I do not get a chance to see.

I could ramble on but if a post gets too long then people will fall asleep trying to read it. I have a web site at williesigler.com if anyone is interested in more. It is entirely almost all genealogy going back several hundred years in the United States.

Happy reading and viewing to all.

Same when I moved fron NY to NC. Southerners don't always take to us yankees. After a few years in NC I put an "I Love NY" bumper sticker on my car as an experiment and waited to see what would happen. No problem CGA. My mother's aunt named me when she visited my parents and cut their trip to Niagara Falls short. I have been to Niagara Falls four times...three times with my eyes open and the first time about four or five months before I was born. My guess is that she either got it from a stone in a cemetery or from a Rebbecca Caudill book about a family moving from North Carolina to Kentucky in the 1700's. I've had a lot of linguistics training and linguists have quite a sense of humor about things like that.

CGA.... I do not remember anyone with that surname. Most of mine came west (when Kentucky was the West) from Maryland, Virginia, and North Carolina. I do have a Dodge line but the Dodge Family organization seems to think that my Dodge line was originally something like a French immigrant soldier during the American Revolution that Anglicized the French name from D'Auge to Dodge to fit into the English language culture.

Mrs. Sawyer and B Ball

She wrote a lot of children's books during the first half of the 1900's as well as magazine stories at a more adult level. The last book that I remember was "My Appalachia" in the last half of the 1900's. She was from Eastern Kentucky but her sister's husband's family owned a large farm in Western Kentucky near where KY, IL, and IN have a common boundary. She wrote a children's book about the farm and the area called "The House of the Fifers". My mother grew up on the farm and took care of her son while she wrote the book one summer. My mother comments about it in her autobiography.

Don't get me wrong, I loved the South. Most of the Southerners were great. Where I was in Wilmington there is a great influx of Northerners moving south to warmer weather and a nicer environment and some of the locals were upset at how crowded it had become there so their hostility was understandable. I am a person that will agree on things and sometimes if I am upset and see a post that makes me upset. I will say a few words or so and try yo be nice about it. There are a few time that I had said more that I should. Go thing they have the edit and delete.

I love to dream and to chat about dreams or what ever others are typing about. So please pm me or ask any question. I will answer question, only if they don't get to personal. You will have to earn my trust first before I will think it is ok to give any personal answers out.

I will type a few personal now: I am a 28 year old white female. I love the color orange and I really like to learn new things.

I don't remember going through Portland, Sawyer. I know of once going through Oregon on the way to Idaho from California, just for a change - but usually, we went via I-80 through Nevada and Utah, and made a left turn at Salt Lake City and went up through Pocatello. We also have a few relatives on my mom's side in Southeastern Idaho - in Rexburg and Idaho Falls, and we would stop there on our way to visit my dad's family in Boise... That was so long ago, though!

I've been told I've got a slight Chicago accent. I don't sound like the mayor or anything (thank god), but I've noticed a tendency to pronounce some words a certain way. A lot of times I do the "ee-and" when saying "and", which a lot of people do up here. It's hard for me to notice anything else though really.

Well, welcome! :D I should be able to say that I was born in Virginia, but the hospital was 'down the street in Kentucky', lol, so that's what the birth cert says. (the tri-state area)

I have a problem with my name too, southerners tend to call their kids by their *middle* name, so it makes it hard when people (understandably so) call me Kim. I've spent my life raising my hand and saying "no, please, it's Renee'."

You've intrigued me since I also study Appalachian history and even though I've never heard of Rebecca, I do know "The mountain, the miner and the Lord : and other tales from a country law office" by Harry M. Caudill.

I received my Sociology degree in 96. I tried the field, but didn't really care for it.......the pay was pathetic. Went back to school and earned a K-12 teaching cert. and Master's in secondary ed. My parents are/were (my dad is retired now) college instructors.......and we all know the apple doesn't fall far from the tree........so, I'm seeking a career in higher ed. I am an artist, so it looks like I'll need an MFA instead of a PhD to teach studio art....there's another 3 years in school. I wish I could just do my art and make a suitable living doing that, but I am realizing getting recognition is harder than it looks. My work is different, and around here, wild, contemporary art doesn't do well.

That is great you are going into ptsd........you are getting in at the right time with this ridiculous war we are in. You should be very successful at it.......I wish you the best of luck. :)

By the way.......I lasted 2 years in the K-12 teaching career.......it's not what it used to be when I was a kid in school.

Midi, welcome to the USofA. I hope you're finding people exceptionally cordial. Your travels sound fun. What a great opportunity. :)

And Sanders, welcome to the forum. We all relate on the same plain because the Roloff's resilience touches and inspires each one of us. Good luck in your upcoming final exams. :)

Hi All,
I am a new member, but a long time watcher and big fan of the show!! My name is Ruth. Matt reminds me so much of my dad and brother that I get goosebumps just seeing him. My dad passed away 4 years ago and my brother is just like him. I am the oldest and only daughter and my brothers are twins. My dad was only 4'9", but he was all man and nothing stopped him! Garry, the one like dad, is a Christian first and an inventer second. He has more projects going, just like Matt. His enthusiasm for life is irresistable and contagious! He created a new golf training tool called HillShot Golf and has won many awards and it is now on the market. We started with nothing, but because we believe in ourselves and don't take no for an answer, we succeed, again like Matt.

When I watch the show, something spiritual happens and I am seeing my dad and Garry, who lives in Atlanta and whom I miss, a lot. I am a wife and mother and a very proud granny to 4. We live in a log cabin on 5 acres in Bardstown, Kentucky. It is Derby time now and it is an exciting time to be here!! Thanks to all of the wonderful people here on this board and to Matt and Amy for sharing your life with us. God Bless You !!

Right Stuff Roloff; You'd be about 35-40 mi. away from us! We were just up there last weekend for the Midwest Horse Fair at the Colosium,.....The Budweiser Clydesdales made an appearance there,......WOW!!!!! They realy are a sharp looking outfit!!!!

KimRenee2; Great Idea!!!!! Wonder if we could use the Roloff families faces for the "Pumpkin Patch Kids"

I tell you what though,....If the Roloff's were to design & market toy's, games, mugs etc. I'm sure they'd make it big, As they do have a great fanfare!!!!

:D Hello, I am a Christian mom from Florida with a daughter who is Molly's age. I love Amy! My daughter says I'm a lot like her, with the things she says to her kids! She's an amazing mom!

I'll have to say Big People Little World is my favorite show!! What a refreshing family. It's so nice to see people who love each other, without the rude sarcasm seen on other shows. Matt's the kind of dad who sets an example for others. He takes time to be with his children. He shows his wife affection. It's clear he's a truly loving dad. (Even when he's dreaming up another thing to build..LOL)

Hi Everyone,

I've posted a few times but never introduced myself lol... so here goes.. I am a married guy from California who enjoys watching the show. My wife is a big fan too... we've made it an event to order pizza or chinese food and watch LPBW for the hour on Monday nights. So we're definite fans.

I just uploaded a picture of myself with my wife and my mom in the avatar part... While I am 6'0 feet tall my mom is about 4'9....People find it hard to believe I am her son because I am tall and so is my sister. I keep telling her she should go to one of those little people conventions but she says she's too tall lol.. I told her you can be under 4'11 but she said its not for her ...I thought it would be interesting to meet people her size.

Even though my mom isn't technically a dwarf.. all my growing up years I remember my mom getting stared at or someone making a snide comment... I have noticed that people really don't do that anymore.. especially within the last 10 years. So things are improving

So anyway... hi to everyone ..seems like a good group here!

Mike

I think it's interesting how one of the largest responses is when you ask people to talk about themselves. People LOVE to talk about themselves. I am no exception. My name is Julie and I am new to Little People. I just watched 3 episodes in a row. I live around the corner from some little people. I've never had the privilege of speaking to them on a personal basis. I see them outside quite a bit because they live on the way to my son's grade school. I am 36 and a single mom of a 14 year old daughter (oh my gosh!) and my 8 year old son. I am going through quite a time with my daughter being rebellious within the last 3 months like she never has before. I am a strong Christian and did not go through this with my parents. I can't seem to find that manual on parenting! Actually, I've been told by her teachers and others that I am doing a good job with her although it doesn't seem that way. But this is about the Roloffs-not me! I really like this show, for the reason many have said that they do not rip on each other. Just as I've told my children, "There are enough mean people in the world who you will have to deal with, so be nice to your family. They should be the ones you can rely on to be nice when you need it most." That's what the Roloff's exemplify. [quote]

Thanks for the reference DS. However, my photo seems to be too large. How do I change the size of it? I can't find the option to look up how many KB's it is. My last job was as an IT Recruiter, but that doesn't mean I know much about formatting photos.

Hey everyone,
My name is Steph, and I grew up in the flat lands of North Dakota. I moved to Portland, OR with my boyfriend about two years ago, and love this state! Plus you don't have to shovel rain :D I am currently unemployed (long story) but looking. My kids are my 3 ferrets, Zaknafein (aka Zak), Maya, and Jarlaxle (Jer-axle). They keep me very busy. Nice to meet everyone :)

Hi, I'm Kali. I'm 28 (at least until August.)
I house sit at a group home with two men with MR and help them with their daily chores.

I stumbled up on the LPBW show in the middle of the night reruns while sitting at the group home and got hooked. It's interesting, funny, and inspiring.

My only children are also 3 ferrets: Rembrant (or Remy, the momma's boy), Ivy (who's deaf), and the brand new baby Sweetie (4 months old and hyper.)

Hey SlpLesinPDX-you're from North Dakota? I am from Nebraska (and still ehre) and my boyfriend is from South Dakota although he lives in Denver currently. You're the only one I've seen from this region. We had a great winter this year. Denver had our winter actually. We did not have to shovel near as much as they did. In fact, we only had 2 big snowfalls. That's pretty good for Nebraska (and the Dakotas). We experience the extreme of every season. It is already starting to get humid here. Last summer it wasn't very humid at all.
I am also currently unemployed which makes it extremely difficult for being a single mom. But I am blessed in other areas. Right now I think a ferret would be much less work than my teenage daughter. She is still my sweetheart, but I am emotionally and mentally exhausted every day with her. My favorite child on LPBW is Jacob because my son is 8 and I treasure the mother/son relationship right now.
