Aren't the twins getting a little old for making forts? Maybe it's for Jacob to keep him out of their hair. I would love to see the twins working for Matt's company learning the business trade. They could be filling orders and packing kits. I would love to see Matt working with the twins. Lot of good laughs there I bet. :teehee:

With all that land and used barn wood and all them tractors and such building forts at their age is no biggie.Thats where they inherited Matts ability to always build things and such.

Don't forget this is there last summer during High School, they are seniors this year! Might be the last summer thye will be able to spend doing what ever they want to!

I can't wait till tomorrow for the episodes, but I guess I'll have to. I don't think it's unusual for the twins to be building a fort at their age, it just means they inherited Matt's gift to dream up things and then build them.

re: fort building
The twins are both late bloomers when it comes to maturity levels. I'm not surprised they still have the inclination to do kid stuff. I'm a late bloomer myself, so I understand.

Someone said the twins were seniors this year, but I really think they're just juniors.I know they're seventeen, but they started high school, on the show, when they were fifteen, as Matt said.
And, about building forts, I thought a lot of you were married :p Aren't there a lot of grown men still building forts, er, I mean, decks, garages and sheds? Get the point?
cutefamily
11-11-2007, 02:37 PM
The fort that I build is my little get away like the men's crisis center. Only my fort consists of a chair in the backyard peace and quiet and not answering if someone calls my name out the back door looking for me
LOL about the men still building forts  isn't that the truth.

Hey!!! A fort in the woods built by a bunch of high school guys??? And a choice between the girls and the fort??? Nah. What better place is there for the high school guys to take the girls??? The only choice is ....Which girls?

The twins are Juniors this year, Amy made that comment when we were there in October, my son is also their age and a Junior.
As far as building a fort in the woods, they are boys, come on what would teen-age boys build a fort in the woods, away from everyone, for?????? My son's also would be right their constructing with them. Here at home my 21 and 17 year-old sons are always concocting things for themselves, or the dog, or the squirrels. It has to be the x/y chromosomal defect.

I liked tonight's shows too. However, Kirsten seems way too clingy and demanding. But then I guess most of us were like that when we were her age too. I know I was to an extent. It wasn't until I was 19 or 20 that I finally woke up, got a grip and changed my ways. LOL I also think a lot of that behavior comes from having low self esteem about oneself.

Yeah, I definitely think the insecurity she feels might be the reason behind her being clingy around Jeremy.
I enjoy seeing the dynamic with Jeremy and his friends and the surrounding girlfriends etc.
I thought it was great seeing the kids build their fort and completing something. The shows to me have been really entertaining this season!

He was telling Zach to make all the girls jump he found a rock or something I didn't hear what and he said he placed it by the nest to make the girls think he was about to jump on the eggs, but he didn't  typical BOY all the way. Jeremy is getting cuter and cuter!
Kir got Jeremy a whole slew of gifts for being together 9 months?? I noticed she said let's go see a romantic movie and then was rubbing Jeremy's back. Uh oh,,,,watch out Jer. She seems to be moving faster than Jeremy is. Jeremy is right to take it at a slow pace. He doesn't need a serious girlfriend now anyways. Boy but what cute curls he has. My daughter would faint dead away if Jeremy lived here.:mrgreen:

What did you guys think of Jer's striped shirt that Kir got him? :teehee: I did NOT like that shirt on him! I think it was Molly that said that it looked like a girls shirt..I so agree!
But, it was so sweet that Jer wore the shirts for Kir. He's a sweetie!
I did like the red checkered one though..the one that one of the kids said looked like a tablecloth.. I did like that one on him.
Cute, okay I am soooo glad that he didn't really step on the eggs.I was like oh no he didnt! Good boy Jer!!!!! good boy!
Matt's red VW was sooooo nice and he looked good driving it!
Did you guys hear Jake say piss? I told my mom "uh ohhhh, the TLCers are going to blow a gasket with that one tonight!"
DS, I did hear him say something about an apple but I wasn't sure what he said exactly. I was hoping that he meant that the apple is what he used to pretend it was an egg.

This post kills me because it is so right on
Actually they said his shirt looked like a picnic table didn't they?
Jeremy's shirt reminded me of the Old Long John Silver's fast food Uniform shirts they used to wear  back in the early 1980's
And about Jacob's piss word he said I knew TLC blasters would be on him before they got to the commercial  (tic tacs they are)
(And since I am sure TLC will copy and paste this Post I need to say:
Matt is always right, Jeremy's jeans look great, Zach does close his mouth no matter what they say, and Jacob is as cute as a button.)

When I first saw it I thought is that Zach or is it his friend? Then I wondered if it was Zach pulling what Jacob did with the apple fight when Jacob acted hurt on the ground then nailed the boys with the apples. That was cute and a good fake out as my son would say
DisruptiveSpirit
11-12-2007, 07:21 PM
I thought it may be Zach at first too. But, when I saw it again it showed Zach saying "hold on" or something like that then running over to the kid who was down.
Even if they are faking him out, I still don't care for those two boys. I know boys will be boys but they are obnoxious. There is a difference.

I cracked up when Kirsten called 3 times and Jer says if she calls once she doesn't really care, two she wants to talk, 3, she's pissed. LOL
Another funny part was when Amy said to Kirsten, I would dump him! LMAO!
And I liked after the sunset when Amy, Molly and Jake were walking away and Amy said "You guys totally just......" and Molly busts in with "Made the day better?" or something like that. LOL

I think having Jeremy and Zach at the stool factory would be
like a Lucy and Ethel at the Chocolate factory episode. Matt
would keeping speeding up the assembly line so fast that in the

That shirt that Kirsten got Jeremy was pretty bad imho. I too felt bad for her though that everyone was hating on it.
I got the biggest kick out of Mike using the speed gun on Jacobs kicks. It reminds me of all my sports playing and how I would spend hours and hours trying to beat free throw records or whatever else
I could totally relate to all the guys building things, the sports playing, and the car stuff.. thats pretty much what we guys do as kids and as adults lol We dont grow out of any of that.

Yeah, sorry Kirsten but that top you wore for your birthday looked like something Brtney Spears would wear  The bra straps showing is very bad form.
Good thing Jacob won that game, imagine the temper tantrum if he had not  My little brother (the baby of the family also) was easily frustrated, too, except he was more vocal than Jacob. Good thing he was never involved in sports, he could have hurt someone! Today is is the daddy of 2 and a more wonderful, patient father you will not find, we are VERY proud of him! So there is hope for Jacob.

I was so impressed with Jeremey last night building that fort and following his dad's directions. It was apparent through all of Jeremie's back-talk to his father in past shows that he was listening and taking in all the wisdom Matt imparted to him and that he respects him. At the end of that day that is what really counts.

Next weeks show, isn't that the twins from Ca, that Zach visited last year? They always seem to be wrestling around, at the conference they are the ones with the water balloons and running through the halls. They do seem to be always into some kind of trouble. I don;t think that was Zack either, that hurt thier knee, one of his friends! Iam really kind of worried about Jake, what is making him so angery alot of the time?

Watching Jacob's game, and Zach's against the Breakers, brought back a lot of single-elimination softball tournaments from the past. Man, it gets intense. Looking back, I have no idea why it mattered so much, but oh man it does! It's not an age thing, parents get really into it too. Must just be about the moment.
Anyway, I've never said this before, but I agree that Amy doesn't like Jeremy and Kirsten together. I don't think she has anything against Kirsten personally, just doesn't want her dating Jeremy. The show has made her look clingy. She may not be getting a fair shake with the editing and all, but I don't know.

Yeah, i think it was DS that mentioned the self esteem thing with Kirsten, but I agree, she's way too clingy. Plus I don't think Jer looks anywhere near ready for a serious relationship at this point in his life.
That whole phone call where Kirsten whined out "But tell him it's our 9 month anniversaryyyyyyyyy" made me shudder (totally reminded me of an ex of mine).
I'm not trying to sound mean at all, but Kirsten needs to back off...there's a fine line between stoking the flames and smothering the fire.

Those episodes last night were great. I enjoyed both of them. I think Kirsten's too needy, for sure! Those tops/dresses that she wears really do make her look prego....I've thought that for a couple episodes I've seen her wear them in, but hey.....there is a slight generation gap here. It is what it is....just as their relationship.
Matt just looks in his glory racing that red machine! Go Matt!:-D
