Was Matt drunk when he was eating the moldy peach and forcing Molly to see how close she could get to the moldy part? She didn't seem to care for it that much, Matt was having a jolly good time. He also rolled around under the tree and did not notice he got peaches all over his clothes. Just seemed like things that someone who has had a few too many would do:???:.

Love the show, any thoughts??

i know that in previous episodes matt says he enjoys his time when he spends it with molly just like amy likes to as well. all he was doing was having some fun with his daughter. u also all know how he is of being random and likes to do new things.. maybe eating a molded peach was a new random thing he wanted to try, and had molly join in *shrugs*

I thought it was cool! It was wonderful bonding between Molly and Matt. It's somthing they will remember all there lives. It's the crazy silly little things like that we remember longer then everything else. I have done goofy things like that with my daughter, and we still laugh about them. I am thankful I took the time to have those silly special moments with her. And to the best of my recollection, I was never Drunk!

As I read your comments regarding this tender moment between a father and his daughter, it made me think of what the sage Lao-tzu once said.

"To know that you do not know is the best. To pretend to know when you do not know is a disease."

I bid you peace. :)

Wow...I thought it was just a funny moment between father and daughter. I didn't see anything wrong with it and frankly we do funny stuff like that with our kids all the time. I one time packed my oldest sons lunch and while doing so took a big bite out of his sandwich, a perfect bite mark, and then wrapped it in tinfoil so he wouldn't notice until he unwrapped it. I thought it was funny as heck and so did he! I was totally sober!

This was a great episode for Roloff FANS! It is a nice father/daughter tradition. There was a previous epsiode where a much younger Molly went out with Matt to gather peaches and it was nice to see the contrast in her age. She is growing up but still such a likable girl. I think Molly is a great role model for kids. Gotta run! My favorite show is on!

Give it a rest people, enough of the writing and reading between the lines.

I saw that show, that was a special time between father and daughter and that was it. It was a game, I played it many times with my dad with apples. We would pick one up and take turns eating to see who would get the last bite and who would chicken out to avoid the worm. Take it for what it was, a fun game and fun time between father and daughter.

Thank you. I see there are a few on here who are less then positive and make jokes about being drunk then try to say it was family fun. In some places a joke about alcohol and being drunk may be alright but under the current situation Matt dealing with I think it's pretty "cold" hearted to make such a comment or even write it between the lines. Seriously people, the Roloff's have a wonderful family and take it for that. Stop trying to drag down a good thing. Its easy for everyone to be a Monday morning quarterback.

Matt, go pick those peaches and enjoy it with your daughter. It's those fun things we do with our kids that we remember the most. There is a wonderful song by Lonestar "Let Them Be Little". It's a song about our kids growing up and leaving to start their own life and how you wish they could be little kids forever and crawl into bed with you, play silly little kid games with you.

To the good members on here, sorry if I get a little defensive when I see good people dragged and made fun of. There are better things to do in this world then hide behind a computer and make make fun of people.

Definitely not our familys' favorite episode, but fun to see father/daughter interacting together. The human GI tract is full of all types of bacteria, eg E. coli, I doubt they would need hospitalization after ingestion. Worst case, probably develop some diarrhea. :-D

Dirtsquirt
11-29-2007, 07:43 AM
Exactily! It's just family fun captured at it's greatest. How many of you drank water from the garden hose growing up? You're still here today aren't you? It was a game, how close you can get until you bite into a piece that was bad or give up. You'll notice Matt was the one who gave up. Laugh with them, enjoy that, heck take your own kids out and go roll in the grass under a tree and eat fruit. Sure beats sitting in front of a TV or video game, or in the case of adults sitting on a forum all day trying to stir up drama.

I grew up on a farm, and I have some shocking news for you - farmers aren't afraid to get dirty in order to get the job done! !gasp!

Around the farm I picked apples, blueberries, wild strawberries, sugar plums, blackberries, rubarb, raspberries. I knelt in the dirt, crawled through prickers and under briars and climbed up trees to pick them. In other words, on the farm YOU have to go to where the fruit is - it does not come to you.

My Grandparents had an orchard when I was growing up with apple trees,a pear tree,a grape vine and raspsberries and a garden with strawberries and every other kind of fruit and veggie and I loved to go out and help pick all the assortments of stuff. It was fun.

Yeah, I thought that was kind of odd.

But then, I think many things Matt does/says are unusual.

No harm was done. Molly could have refused - we've all seen that these kids have NO problem with speaking their minds to their parents - but she didn't. Just another quirky Rolloff moment at "Neverland North".

here's why this really happened...........

( anyone who eats a moldy , worm filled peach is trying to do one OR both of the following: )

1) they BOTH had recently applied to be on "SURVIVOR" , and this was a practice run.......

2) the film crew from the PEPTO BISMAL commercials were on site ....and looking for new talent .......................

What makes you think he hasn't already??? He has pulled me down before. He has this little arm-lock move where drops all his weight down on your arm and when he locks it in, I don't care how big you are, you're going down to the floor. Lucky for me he hasn't figured out how to continue with that move. He has his first tournament in a couple of weeks. My 4 year old gets to start wrestling next year. He's the one that will be tough on the mats.

Ubbs, I have the demolition duo all ready for you.

OK, truth be known my boys are my buddies and we do everything together so it would be a trio destroying the couch for you. :woot::woot::woot:

I think hubby and kids will have no problem destroying the couch on their OWN...BELIEVE ME.

Was Matt drunk when he was eating the moldy peach and forcing Molly to see how close she could get to the moldy part? She didn't seem to care for it that much, Matt was having a jolly good time.

I do not think Matt force Molly to see how close she can get to to the moldy part. I have family memembers that live in the country and they do some "wield" stuff like that. No big deal.

He also rolled around under the tree and did not notice he got peaches all over his clothes. Just seemed like things that someone who has had a few too many would do:???:.

Cosidering they live on a farm, I do not think peaches is the only thing that get on his clothes. They also get mud and a whole lot of other stuff on their clothes. They own a dog so I am also guessing they step in dog poo every once in a while too.
