Who: Producer/star of "Little People, Big World" Special faves: "Billy Bob Thornton: Anyone who can turn 'Mmm . . . Biscuits 'n' mustard, mmm' into an Oscar nomination has my utmost respect. "Meredith Eaton: She has managed to break through the ceiling that has kept little people in certain roles. I like her in 'Boston Legal' and other David Kelley shows, and it's great to see an actress with range who happens to be a little person." Way back: " 'The Blob' scared the heck out of me when I was just 5 years old in the hospital with all the older kids on movie night. The AC vents above my hospital bed looked awfully big that night. I don't think I slept for days." Lately: "I've liked 'A History of Violence,' 'Crash,' 'The Italian Job,' the Bourne series and 'Catch Me If You Can.' I didn't go for 'No Country for Old Men.' The ending didn't do it for me." Upcoming: "The new Indiana Jones film has me excited. I've waited nearly 20 years to see him take on the communists. This one is set in 1957, and it looks like Spielberg might end the Cold War four decades early." Any old time: "I own 300 or so DVDs, depending on how many the kids have lost. Most of what I see lately is on DVD. I watch favorites over and over. And I love the DVD extras. It's fun to see what went on behind the scenes, and the bloopers crack me up." Home cookin': "In the summer, my wife, Amy, the kids and I stretch a canvas onto a large frame we made and project movies just like an old-time drive-in. It's hard to beat roasting marshmallows and hot dogs on a campfire while watching movies under the stars on our farm." Hangin' in there: "I played my tape of 'First Blood' until it was worn out. Then I bought a DVD, and watched it until it skipped too much to watch. The new 'Rambo' is a big disappointment. 'Rocky Balboa' was the best Rocky film since the first. I had high hopes for 'Rambo,' but Stallone just phoned it in." Sleepin' 'n' weepin': "I never actually walk out on films, but my kids tell me I fall asleep at times. As for crying in movies, I do it often, every time the guy gets the girl -- or when someone behind me spills soda down my neck." |

The movie night under the stars sounds awesome. Matt should get a wireless webcam and set it up for movie nights so we can all watch the movie, stars and farm along with them.
