No its no joke that is why they were banned . They were just to dangerous.

I recall one day walking home from school down my block and countless pet rocks escaping and hitting me on the head, etc.

From what my neighbors told my parents their pet rocks had escaped out of their yards and attacked me .
We called the police and they told us best thing to do was move out of the town to a safe town were Pet rocks were banned .

We moved here to Floida

Default Buying Dirt

My opinion of the selling of dirt, is first of all it lacks integrity and class. It makes Matt look silly. However, if someone is dumb enough to shell out the money for it, go for it! TACKY!!!

TACKY is a coconut painted like a monkey head that hung from my grandmothers kitchen cabinet for 25 years. Why on earth they bought it or even WHERE they bought it -- Grandma didn't even remember (or even see it after so long!)......we "lost" that box when she moved and she thanked us after she settled in!

Tacky:
tiny spoons from different places
refigerator magnets
coffee mugs from different places
collector "plates"
salt and pepper shakers from the Statue of Liberty or other places

a jar of dirt....well....tacky but at least a converstation piece!

*and for the record, I collect coffee mugs and fridge magnets but they are NOT all displayed!!* I move the magnets around the fridge so not so many are on the front...most are on the side on the wall.
