Bravo Steel! Great speech!
I personally don't have a problem with those who have differing views. I just have problems with those who are rude and crude when giving those views. Is that okay?

STEEL !!!
![]() (KNOCKS you down like a big Rott Puppy and Slobbers ALL over your face ... Dino & Fred Style). THAT'S what I'm talking about buddy! THAT'S what was missing! YOU and your sound analysis! You're 100.948734296% Right. I'm a senior senior member and I haven't felt safe in stating some opinions (or facts for that matter) without ducking for cover from rotten tomatoes and " It shouldn't be that way. We're adults and adults don't wear rose tinted fantasy glasses while looking thru the lense of a Yellow Submarine at Lucy in the Sky. This isn't Oz. Nowhere on earth is Oz. This is reality.

Sorry, dissenting voice here.
If someone posts for the gazillionth time about the messy house or the disrespectful kids, I will have my short say, and that will be "try the TLC board, more your style" or something to that effect. I'm sick of those topics, done talking about those topics and thanks to Matt I have the freedom of speech to say so. I'm not a sheep. I'm blunt. |

I agree with that too, Sawyer. We all know (by experience) that trolls bop in just to raise the roof -and the hairs on the back of our necks.
Dontcha' feel like, sometimes, you can't safely say your REAL thoughts and opinions about certain issues and details without ducking for cover though? I have felt um, "unloyal" for simply stating an observation before, whereas in fact for the majority, we're ALL true-blue-loyal in being major Roloff supporters. (of course you're point of repetition for the purpose of trashing is the exception - and we've flamed "trashers" B4) However ... the Roloff's are as human as we are and sometimes they get --- a bit idolized where nobody allows them room for human err. Matt is the 1st to say that they're "real" people .. and he's the 1st to say that he likes a little dust kicked (controversy). He'd be the 1st to more than likely say something along the lines of "boy, she's cranky". He'd probably be the 1st to say that 'nicey-nicey' gets a little boring and unrealistic too. (of course, I'm assuming there, but I'm going by what he has said on several occassions on what constitutes 'boring'). Controversial opinions are not well accepted here, for instance: the court thread died out REAL quick ... with some Real disciplinary actions taken over Real opinions. And that's all we have --- are our own opinions. (that's just a tiny example of ducking for cover - or when I may have said 'Matt seemed cranky', etc ... it's either jumped on like the man isn't allowed to have moods - or ignored like I'm a communist. lol). I consider that 'rose tinted glasses'. We're not talking about the house-keeping bashing ... that one is OLD and we 'know' where the sources come from. I have put out a few Devil Faces (my smilies aren't working) too ... but not as a knee jerk reaction to members here who have proven themselves true Fans of the Roloffs. It's what makes us all (in Matt's word) Controversial and Interesting. We've heard Matt & Amy say a quick negative statement -- yet I feel like I'm not allowed to do the same, that was merely my personal point. The difference is whether a statement is said out of sheer meanness to cause forum dissent, -or- whether it's an opinionated observation that somebody loyal has made. (shrugs) I've went to word war over protecting this forum and the Roloffs before, however I 'want' to be able to safely say, "he shouldn't have said 'shut-up'." without being marked as disloyal. And I feel like *God-forbid* if I remark anything humanisticly negative about Matt. He's just a human man and he doesn't want discrimination in ANY form, etc etc. So in long: we all know there's a difference between trolls and true fans. Lol, we're not "entertaining" Matt anymore. We've gotten too repetitively nicey-nicey. Controversy is what makes him giggle, remember? He knows he's human, we all are. Proven loyalists should be entitled to our First Ammendment rights without fear (freedom from fear is another right). Both rights are occassionally stifled here out of fear of "you shouldn't have said that" retribution and getting thrashed among friends. If we continually point out the cute, funny and hot things.. it gets stagnant. That's just my humble opinion.

that is why God gave us mouths right? I like the "cute", funny and Hott things said though sorry that is what a board is all about. This show says alot of cute, funny, and if I didn't have ML saying Matt was Hott I wouldn't want to post. I think it's sweet Matt has a board person who thinks he is Hott. I'm sure Matt is flattered by the comments |
